Final Two Principles of Building Your Team

Being a successful coach requires help.

You need a team as much as your clients need your support and teachings.

So, how do you approach building the best team?

You’ll want to…

- Start with the “why”

- Be expansive with your vision

- Stick to your values

These three core principles are the foundation blocks on which you can start building a team.

…But it’s not always enough.

That’s why I want to share two more principles you can follow to become a true leader:

Principle #4: Embed Into Everything

What do I mean by that?

You have your mission, vision, and values. And embedding into everything means embedding all these into all aspects of your coaching business.

They’re in your marketing…

Decision-making process…

Hiring process…

Everything!

Now, this principle builds upon the previous one. That is, if you stick to your values, then your team is more likely to do the same.

So, how do you ensure they follow everything?

Embed your doctrine into every aspect of your business. Your mission, vision, and values must be recognisable everywhere.

Principle #5: Teach Your Team How to Think

If you think about this principle, it makes a lot of sense.

As coaches, we’re not just giving out strategies and providing solutions.

Our business is about teaching clients how to think differently. That’s how we genuinely impact their lives and businesses.

It’s no different regarding your team.

When you teach your team how to think, you won’t have to think for them. They’ll feel empowered to make decisions… and you’ll trust them to do so.

Looking back, what does it all come down to?

The most crucial aspect of putting a team together is leading by example.

If you want them to help you…

Allow you to free up your time…

Grow your business…

Empower your team members!

And if you’re trying to get them to stick to your mission, values, and vision, embed these into every aspect of your business.

It’s the only way to ensure your teachings will stick and that your team can make great decisions without your input.

I’m looking forward to seeing you build the team that you and your clients deserve.
